Eligibility

An eligible Covered Employee becomes entitled to benefits under the Welfare Fund on the first day of the Benefit Quarter following two consecutive Contribution Quarters during which he completes 500 Hours of Contributing Employment as noted on the following chart:

Hours Bank

An eligible Covered Employee remains entitled to benefits under the Welfare Fund if he completes 250 Hours of Contributing Employment during the Contribution Quarter corresponding to that Benefit Quarter. A Covered Employee’s Hours Bank can also be used to maintain entitlement to benefits.
